Hailey and Grant were married on a beautiful day this September in Burnsville. The thing we loved best about their wedding was how very do it yourself it was. It was very uniquely them. We couldn't go thirty minutes without hearing someone say, "This is so Hailey." Often times, when you see DIY weddings, they don't have that organic feel. People have DIY weddings because it's a trend, but don't take the time to do it all themselves. Rather, with this wedding, we say what Hailey and Grant put into it. A few samples include their beautifully carved wooden ring boxes, with their initials engraved into them, the antique water cans they dressed up with Christmas lighting, and more. Perhaps our favorite aspect of it all was the tree in her mom's backyard. They had decorated it with wedding photography of those related to them, ones dating very far back. Their wedding ceremony took place in Hailey's mom's backyard, with their reception taking place in Savage. At the reception, many of the guests played ultimate Frisbee and tossed beanbags, as Hailey and Grant had met while playing ultimate Frisbee. It was a very fun reception and the ceremony was beautiful, a fitting day for such a wonderful couple. Did we mention that the bride wore no shoes? Yep, she doesn't wear shoes unless she absolutely has to. So for her wedding day, she purchased barefoot shoes (see below) on Etsy. That's how much fun these two are.
